History
Hirsch KG was founded in 1954 by Georg Hirsch under the name G. Hirsch + Co. With just one employee, a converted goat barn with 20 square meters of workspace, 700 DM in start-up capital, and a few used machines, Georg Hirsch realized his vision of offering customers the highest quality in the field of technical springs. He quickly discovered that customer trust could only be gained and maintained through the tireless development of new products, flexibility, and the full commitment of all employees – and he set himself the goal of always focusing on these aspects. This principle has remained unchanged to this day.
From a two-man operation, a medium-sized company grew. Today, with over 10,000 square meters of production space and nearly 120 employees, Hirsch KG manufactures technical springs, CNC turned parts, wire-bent parts, and tools used in various industries – from automotive and medical technology to aerospace – and enjoys an excellent reputation.
As early as the 1960s, Georg Hirsch developed guiding principles that still direct the family business today – both as an incentive and a goal to ensure that all customers of Hirsch KG receive what they expect: products of the highest quality, accompanied by excellent service and friendly contacts.

Management
Reinhard Himmer has been managing Hirsch KG since 2007. He joined the company in 1987 and was granted sole power of attorney in 1997. In 2002, after the company’s legal form was changed to a limited partnership (KG), Reinhard Himmer became a personally liable general partner alongside the company’s founder, Georg Hirsch.
Since Georg Hirsch’s passing in 2007, Reinhard Himmer has managed the company as a medium-sized family business, upholding the spirit and principles established by Georg Hirsch.

Our Team
Only a strong, competent, and dedicated team can guarantee outstanding products and the best service.
At Hirsch Federn, we are proud to have such a team – our employees are deeply committed to the company, ensuring you can rely on familiar contacts for many years to come.

Our Guiding Principles
To uphold our reputation as a customer-focused, reliable company that takes great responsibility toward its employees, the region, and the environment—both now and in the future—we follow the 7 F principles established by our company founder, Georg Hirsch. These principles guide us internally as well as in our relationships with customers and suppliers.
Family Business
This is not just an empty term but a true description of our company! We are not only family-run and owner-managed, but also form a community of equals, supporting each other both professionally and personally, including voluntary work. We always conduct ourselves—both inside and outside the company—to create an impeccable impression.
Springs
Springs and other metal products form the foundation of our business! Mastering these products from development to production with the highest quality is our motivation.
Fairness
Fairness is the fundamental prerequisite for a trusting collaboration! The principle of old merchant honor, where a spoken word is binding, still applies to us today—both within the company and in our dealings with customers and suppliers.
Flexibility
Flexibility is not only a characteristic of our springs but also a requirement we uphold! It’s important that we are flexible with working hours and, above all, respond quickly to changing customer requirements.
Progress
ist für uns selbstverständlich!
Progress is a given for us! We strive for continuous improvement of our products and manufacturing processes and remain open to new methods. Environmental protection, occupational safety, and energy efficiency are top priorities throughout our entire process chain.
Further Training
Further training enables us to always stay at the cutting edge! Only through ongoing education and development can we utilize the latest technology in our production processes and remain ahead of our competitors through our own innovations.
Support
Support has always been important to us! In today’s society, it is essential to support clubs, social and charitable institutions, schools, and kindergartens—whether financially or through volunteer work. We particularly value our commitment to young people, as they are our future!

Awards
Supplier evaluations consistently demonstrate each month that the quality of our products and services is excellent.
This recognition makes us very proud and inspires us every day!
The quality of our products and work practices is reflected not only in our customers’ satisfaction but also in the numerous awards and nominations we have received over the years. We are deeply grateful for this and view every award as motivation to continue improving.

Training
Investing in the training of our own employees means investing in the future and ensuring that the next generation understands and embraces the company’s spirit. That’s why every September, three new talents join Hirsch Federn to begin their careers as tool mechanic apprentices.
We wish all our apprentices great enjoyment and success throughout their training—and we hope they continue to grow with us afterward!
