Environmental Protection
This commitment has led us to establish an environmental management system based on DIN EN ISO 14001, aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of our production processes and continuously improving environmental protection. All employees at Hirsch KG share a strong commitment to the sustainable and careful use of resources, striving to avoid unnecessary emissions and reduce waste.
Protecting the environment is a fundamental part of our mindset and actions. We are proud to take responsibility for our living environment and future generations. Since 2009, Hirsch has been a pioneer in combined heat and power generation in the surrounding area. Thanks to the waste heat from the Heuschmann family’s biogas plant, we now require hardly any additional heating oil, which is a significant benefit to the environment. Another step toward energy efficiency is the use of LED technology for lighting in our newly designed canteen and training area.
Environmental Policy
Environmental protection is a top priority for Hirsch KG. We are committed to conducting all activities and processes with respect for the environment.
Environmental Regulations
Our policy is based on strict compliance with all relevant legal regulations.
Employees
Hirsch KG ensures that all employees receive appropriate information and, where necessary, training to carry out their duties responsibly with regard to environmental protection.
Environmental Impact
We develop and manufacture technical springs, stamped, and bent wire parts in a manner that guarantees safe and environmentally friendly production. Additionally, our products are designed to be easily and responsibly disposed of. Our goal is to avoid or minimize emissions and waste throughout all processes.
Technology
We strive to use the best available technologies in our processes, with careful consideration of energy and material consumption.
Logistics
We aim to use environmentally friendly and/or reusable packaging materials for our products.
Social Commitment
Social commitment to clubs and people in our community has always been especially important to us, just as it was to our company founder, Mr. Georg Hirsch.
Today, it is vital for companies to support local clubs and organizations. We must think about the future: many clubs and social institutions face increasing challenges due to declining numbers of active members and volunteers. Yet, these institutions play a crucial role in maintaining the attractiveness of our communities and fostering social cohesion from childhood onward.
We prioritize supporting young people through concrete projects. Our support extends to sports clubs, volunteer fire departments, the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), other relief organizations, and cultural activities.
We are proud to regularly support the following institutions (partially):
- Kindergartens in Marktredwitz and Brand near Marktredwitz
- Schools in Marktredwitz and Brand near Marktredwitz
- Otto Hahn High School Friends Association
- Brand Youth Center
- Volunteer Fire Departments in Wölsau, Wölsauerhammer, Brand/Haingrün, and Marktredwitz
- DLRG (German Life Saving Association)
- BRK (Bavarian Red Cross)
- Sports clubs in Marktredwitz and the surrounding area
- Various village community projects
- Church and charitable institutions
- Auenpark Friends Association
- Support for choirs and the Marktredwitz Brass Band

Additionally, for several years now, we have held an annual internal employee fundraising campaign, with management matching and rounding up the total donations. In 2014, €1,000 was donated to the “Help for Neighbors” association.
